Dr. Kristen Iman, DC, CACCP

A Salisbury native, Dr. Kristen Iman is the owner of Iman Family Chiropractic and Wellness. After graduation from Wicomico High School in 2000, Dr. Iman completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Exercise Science from Salisbury University in 2004. It only seemed natural for her to obtain a degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Iman has worked in a Chiropractic office all through high school and college (the same office she now practies in!). Her mom, Peggy Iman has worked for a Chiropractor for as long as Dr. Iman can remember. The human body always intrigued her. During her high school years Dr. Iman had developed low back pain that would not go away. After a few weeks of dealing with the pain her mom suggested she come into the office and let Dr. Daniel treat her. Just after one adjustment she felt so much better and was able to go back to her normal activities without any pain. It was amazing to her that just an adjustment of her spine could relieve her pain. So needless to say she went on and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2009.
As an intern at NYCC Dr. Iman wanted to see what it was like to live near the city, so she moved down to Long Island. Being born and raised in Salisbury, MD you can imagine what a big change that was! She gained a lot of experience working with different populations. Dr. Iman provided chiropractic treatment to a medically underserved geriatric population at the local Salvation Army. Managed chiropractic care for patients receiving treatment for mental illness and chemical abuse at the Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services. Administered chiropractic services for students, staff and faculty at SUNY Farmingdale’s on-campus multidisciplinary facility as well as SUNY Stony Brooke.
In addition to being licensed in both Maryland and Delaware, Dr. Iman is a board certified Pediatric Chiropractor. She has completed 200 post-doctoral class room hours specifically in pediatric, pregnancy and family wellness care. She is also certified by the International Pediatric Association in the Webster Technique. The love of treating babies, kids and pregnant mom's led Dr. Iman to pursue a certification to become a Doula. This additional training has given her a few more tricks to help her pregnant patients in the office.
Dr. Iman is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Maryland Chiropractic Association.
When Dr. Iman is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew and her two energetic dogs! In the warm months you will find Dr. Iman at Assateague Island on her stand up paddle board. As you can see from the logo she loves being out on her board. It is a great form of exercise and relaxation all in one!
